Health Overview

Where exactly does someone begin talking about Health, especially since there are so many aspects of living a Healthy Lifestyle? The first thought that comes to mind is creating a handy Tips section where I can pop out short but numerous articles on each aspect rather than huge articles which focus on a broad scope.

Aside from a notorious history of run-on sentences, one of my largest dilemmas is keeping a narrow and specific, subject-based approach when writing. In fact, one of my New Years Resolutions for 2017 while Blogging is to try and stick to a specific topic and not get so spread out as to lose the readers interest.

We'll just have to wait and see how that goes...

For example, if you look at an Outline of Health Sciences, you can see just how vastly broad and theoretically in-depth this subject can become. Being a One Health advocate, my research on the subject has become very extensive in scope and intent. After-all, there is just one Population Health overall. However, dissecting, organizing and delivering the content might prove to be challenging for me.

Admittedly, I'm still scratching my head over exactly how to implement all of my web projects at hand; which website to post specific topics and how to categorize, tag and serve them all to visitors. These projects range from Christian/Religious and non-profit to cooking, web design and programming and more, but aside from Spiritual Wellbeing, we Must become more Health Conscience!

Not only am I personally concerned about human and animal development and health but emphatically concerned about our Environment and Environmental Issues, Cancer and Disease, not to mention the Harmful Foods and Products we consume and use on a daily basis and Food Safety.

Each of these concerns are very broad, and I haven't even mentioned a handful of other things which concern me regarding Public Safety and Global Terrorism, but there again, I must stay focused and avoid straying too far off-topic. Let's face it, we are literally killing ourselves and our Planet and it's just time we all wake up and become concerned, if not for ourselves then for our children and their descendants!

ObKbi812.com was created, however, to focus more on Human Health, which would include Men's Health, Women's Health and living a Healthy Lifestyle. This will primarily focus on Healthy Eating, good Hygiene practices, proper Nutrition, getting adequate Exercise and Physical Activities to improve the Human Body, the Mind, and since I am somewhat of a Spiritual Person, the Soul as well.

On the subject of Nutrition, as with many other topics, there always seems to be some confusion on exactly which advice to take. Some websites will tell you something is extremely bad for you while another insists that it is nothing more that hype or just pure rubbish or paranoia.

I was taught growing up to believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear, and it never ceases to amaze me how people on Facebook will see something and immediately share it without validating the information first. You can rest assured that the information I share did not come from such sources.

In fact, it is for this very reason that my plans are to try and stick with reputable sources and provide you when possible with the resources used in my findings. It is then up to you to decide whether or not to believe it, take the advice and/or share it with those you might feel could benefit. My intent is to educate those willing to listen and simply pray for those who are not.

Typically, whenever I research a subject, I will tend to do multiple searches and cross-reference those results with negative search terms. For example, if the first 50-100 search results says it's bad, or good, I try to seek to opposite advice and compare not only those resources but their resources as well. As mentioned, whenever possible you will typically find resource links either in the paragraphs or at the bottom of the page.

Wikipedia or another dictionary-type resource will be used for the most part as a reference for definition purposes and to pursue more information on a topic. Other resources could include links to related articles or directly to the resource. For those using a mouse, you should be able to highlight the link and see where origin of the resource if not a simple explanation of what I'm referring to.

That said, I guess this is a good place to wrap up the Health Overview and allow me to get to other things. As you will soon realize, I am steadily chipping away at multiple projects that will hopefully soon be connected through the Community and easily navigated. For those who are wondering why you're not seeing a lot of content at the moment, my only explanation is there are only so many hours in the day.
